SMUDGING

Smudging is the burning of smudge sticks. It is an ancient ceremony of cleansing a person, place or objects with smoke from certain herbs to remove or deflect negative energies, spirits or influences. A smudging ritual is beneficial for helping to clear the negative energy in a space. When undertaken with positive intent – either verbally or mentally, it can be done as often as you like to purify your surroundings. Crystals and gemstones can also be used to clear spaces, people or objects. They can be used to charge other stones or to absorb or deflect negative energy. We include crystals in our smudging kits to amplify intention in the smudging ritual and for benefits in-between smudging.
