You will find palm stones in every colour the crystal world offers: rose-quartz pink, amethyst violet, sodalite blue, malachite green, labradorite flash, jasper red, smoky-quartz grey, even rarer specimens like sugilite and charoite.

A palm stone is a flat, polished crystal shaped to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. They are typically oval, about 50mm to 70mm (2 to 3 inches) across, and roughly 20mm to 30mm thick—sized to nest comfortably in a closed hand. Their flat shape gives you more surface contact with the stone, meaning almost your entire palm touches it when you close your hand around one.

Palm Stones vs Tumbled Stones — Tumbled stones are small—usually under an inch—and rounded by being tumbled in a machine with grit. Palm stones are larger, intentionally shaped and polished flat. The difference matters because the flat shape gives your hand more surface contact with the stone.

Palm Stones vs Worry Stones — People often use the terms interchangeably, but there is a distinction. Worry stones are smaller, typically featuring a thumb-sized indentation carved into them, designed for soothing, repetitive touch to ease anxiety. The repetitive motion of rubbing a worry stone activates the nervous system's relaxation response, similar to other grounding techniques.
