Origins, Geology and Formation
The most obvious physical properties of serpentine are its green colours, mottled and patterned appearance, and waxy (slippery) feel. There are several varieties of Serpentine, and visually specimens can occur with beautiful swirling, brecciated, or veined patterns ideal for lapidary (jewellery) use.
