Today, my natural citrine bracelet (yes, genuine citrine—not heat-treated!) finally gave up the ghost. But the beads are still beautiful, strong, and full of energy. This happens more often than you’d think, and I’m here to tell you: Don’t throw those beads away.

Most crystal lovers have experienced this. Whether it’s:

Bracelet breakage is normal! It doesn't mean the piece is useless. It just means the elastic—like anything—has reached the end of its life.

How Long Should a Stretch Bracelet Last?

If you're wearing your bracelet regularly, catching it on things, or stretching it to slide it on and off daily, even the best-made bracelets can eventually weaken.

My citrine bracelet lasted about 2 years before the elastic gave way—and after a quick re-string, it's good to go for another round. That’s longevity you can build on!
