Lodolite is a variety of quartz, with each crystal featuring the outline of other smaller minerals - called phantoms. Lodolite is formed by a crystal or mineral deposit within a crystal, usually clear quartz, over the course of million years. The shapes occur when crystal growth is uninterrupted, and then starts to form again. The original minerals are washed away leaving only the crystal to grow afterward. The inclusions usually consists of feldspar, chlorite and other minerals which give it the different colors and formations.
