Rhodonite is famous for its signature pink rosy red colouring. Yet another identifiying colour for Rhodonite is its dark brown and black inclusions which appear as veins or colour zones. Black veins are caused by manganese oxide and some rhodonite stones can appear almost completely black because of the saturation of manganese oxide. Whereas Rhodonite with Brown or reddish spots are caused by Bustamite inclusions, and green spots of colour can occur with sphalerite inclusions, while galena inclusions create a deeper reddish-brown colour.
