ORIGINS: Amazonite is a type of Potassium Feldspar, a variety of microcline and forms in tabular crystals. Amazonite occurs in many localities across the world and varies in colour from very light jade-green to turquoise and a range of other shades and colours due to inclusions ranging anywhere from pale blues, to browns, greens, oranges and darker shades including black. The presence of Mica causes a subtle pearlescent shimmer, and some Amazonite shows a white mottled effect, while Flower Amazonite is a term used to describe Amazonite crystals with other mineral inclusions. When compared to the regular greenish-blue variety the benefits are the same, it is simply a difference in hue and appearance.
