Opal

Accessibility: High-quality opals (especially black opals from Lightning Ridge, Australia) can be rare and valuable. More common white opals are affordable and widely available.

Tourmaline

Colour: Found in nearly every colour of the spectrum. Pink tourmaline is the most popular October variety, but green, blue, and multicoloured stones are also common.
Symbolism: Tourmaline symbolises compassion, healing, and balance. Its wide colour range reflects versatility and adaptability.
Energy & Beliefs: Thought to promote emotional healing, reduce stress, and encourage self-confidence. Different colours are linked to different energies (e.g., pink for love, green for vitality).
Accessibility: Generally more accessible, with a wide range of prices depending on colour and clarity. Pink tourmaline is especially popular in jewellery.
