Multi-purpose cloth suitable for decorating your meditation area or crystal altar, and for your tarot, divination or runes, use as an:
- ALTAR CLOTH Use the cloth to decorate your sacred space or meditation, rituals or crystal altar area;
- RUNES CASTING CLOTH Use the cloth for rune castings and to protect your crystal runes;
- TAROT READING CLOTH Use the cloth for tarot readings and as a card wrap.
Solid single-colored fabrics are used for tarot cloths so as not to distract from the cards. The most common fabrics for tarot cloths are velvet, silk, satin, or cotton, with silky surfaces making it easier for the reader to place and pick up the cards.
A Tarot cloth is usually square-shaped and between 46-66 cm (16-26") in size. Using regular-sized tarot cards – 6.7 – 12 cm (2-3/4 x 4-3/4") a regular sized cloth allows the reader to perform a Celtic Cross however spreads with more than ten cards needs a 66cm (26") Tarot cloth. If needed, you can also use the Tarot cloth to turn the spread towards the seeker.
By wrapping your deck you can protect it from surrounding energies between readings.
